Do you have a collection of smaller hard drives on your Windows 11, but you would like to combine them into a single, larger drive for easier storage management? No need to worry, as this guide will walk you through a simple method for merging drives using Disk Management.
If the drives you want to merge are partitions of the same physical disk, you can use the built-in Disk Management tool to extend a volume.
Identify the partitions you want to merge (e.g., C: and E:).
Merging drives often involves data erasing, so back up any important files on the partition you want to remove (e.g., E:).
Right-click on the partition you want to extend (e.g., C:) and select Extend Volume, then complete the Extend Volume Wizard that pops up.
Merging drives in Windows 11 can simplify file management and maximize your available storage. By using this built-in Windows 11 tool, you can efficiently consolidate your drives into a single, larger, and easier-to-manage volume.
