Running certain programs as administrator is often necessary for full functionality, especially for system tools or software that modifies files and settings. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to make a program always run with admin rights by default.
This method works for individual shortcuts or executable files:
Right-click the program’s shortcut on the desktop or the .exe file in its file location, and click Properties.
Click on the Compatibility tab from top.
Under Settings, check the box for Run this program as an administrator.
Click Apply, then OK to make your changes take effect.
This method works for apps that ignore compatibility Settings:
Press Windows + S, search for Task Scheduler, and open it.
You can then create a shortcut to run this app with admin rights every time.
These two simple methods ensure your program always starts with administrative privileges, no UAC prompt or right-clicking required.
