How to backup/restore Windows 10 registry

Registry is very important for Windows systems, incorrect changes may cause Windows systems to unstable, and even cause system crashes. But sometimes, we need to modify the registry, so a backup registry is very useful. How to back up the registry?

Method 1: Use Wise Care 365, Wise Registry Cleaner, or other tools.

Back up registry:

1, Open Wise Care 365

2, Click Backup icon on right top (from left to right, the 2nd icon)

3, Click Create a full registry backup

Restore registry:

1, Open Wise Care 365

2, Click Restore icon on right top (from left to right, the 3rd icon)

3, Select a backup, then click Restore


Method 2: Use Windows registry editor

Back up registry:

1, Press Win + r to open the Run window.

2, Input regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

3, Click File, then select Export

4, Select export range, I recommend to choose All

5, Choose a folder where to save this registry backup, then type a name, click Save to start back up.

Restore registry:

Double click backup file, then click OK to agree to import registry.
