In some cases (like shared or work computers), you may want to restrict access to these settings. This guide walks you through multiple methods to enable or disable access to File Explorer Options in Windows.

For Windows Home or standalone PCs, the Registry Editor works just as well, as long as you follow the steps carefully. By enabling or disabling this feature, you can tailor Windows’ file management behaviour to suit your environment—whether that means locking down a public kiosk or giving yourself full control at home.
