The language bar in Windows 11 allows users to quickly switch between input languages and keyboard layouts. While it is useful for multilingual users, others may prefer to hide it to reduce taskbar clutter. This WiseCleaner guide shows you how to enable or disable the language bar on Taskbar according to your needs in just a few steps.
The feature to enable the language bar hides deeply in the Windows Settings app.
Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
Click on the Accessibility tab in the left sidebar.
In the right sidebar, scroll down to the Interaction section, and click on Keyboard under it.
Click on Typing under the Related settings section.
Here you will see Advanced keyboard settings option, click on it.
There is a checkbox for Use the desktop language bar when it’s available. Check it to enable the language bar on your taskbar.
If you want to hide the the language bar on your taskbar, ensure to uncheck the checkbox for Use the desktop language bar when it’s available to disable it.
Whether you are a power user switching between input methods or someone who prefers a cleaner taskbar, managing the language bar in Windows 11 isn’t a hard nut to crack.
