How to enable God Mode in Windows 11/10 and Win 8 and Win 7

Oct 24, 2018

God Mode is one of the best-kept hidden features in Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, which is a special folder that provides quick access to nearly 50 categories and over 200 system tools and settings. Instead of digging through multiple menus in the Settings app or the Control Panel, all Windows’ key settings, controls and tools are organized alphabetically in this centralized panel.

Contrary to its dramatic name, browsing in God Mode will not harm your PC. However, DO NOT change settings you are unfamiliar with, as this can affect system stability or security. If you want to unlock this powerful feature, follow the steps introduced in this article.

Steps to Enable God Mode in Windows 11

To activate God Mode in Windows 7, Windows 8 & 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11 are surprisingly easy and only takes a moment. You will be doing it like a pro in no time.

Step 1. Create a New Folder

Make sure your account has administrative privileges.

Then right-click on any empty space of your desktop. Select New > Folder to create a new folder on the desktop.

Step 2. Rename the Folder

Right-click the new folder and choose Rename. Copy and Enter the following code exactly as it is:

God Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Note: The beginning text God Mode. is just a name and you can change it to whatever you like to help you identify the folder, but make sure the rest of the name is exactly the same as you see above.

Step 3. Access God Mode

The folder’s icon will instantly change to a Control Panel-style icon. Double-click it, and you will see a full list of categorized system tools and settings.

If you no longer need this feature, just Delete the folder on your desktop.

Conclusion

God Mode in Windows 11 is a fantastic easy-to-enable trick to centralize all your system settings. After enabling this feature, you might find yourself spending less time digging through menus and more time getting things done.
