Google Chrome’s built-in password manager can remember hundreds of site credentials for you. Whether you need to retrieve a forgotten password, update a stored login after changing it online, or clear out old credentials, Chrome makes all these tasks straightforward. In this process, third-party tools can also be helpful, such as Wise Disk Cleaner. Here’s how to view, edit, and delete saved passwords on Google Chrome in Windows 11.

View Your Saved Passwords in Chrome

1. Launch Google Chrome.

2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the window. Choose Settings from the drop-down.

3. In the Settings sidebar, click Autofill, then select Google Password Manager.

4. Under the Passwords section, you’ll see a list of websites. To reveal a concealed password, click the arrow icon next to one entry. Windows 11 will prompt you to verify your identity (via Windows Hello, PIN, or your Microsoft account password).

After successful verification, the password appears in plain text. You can copy it to your clipboard by clicking the copy icon.

Edit a Saved Password

Chrome doesn’t let you edit directly in the list, but you can update an entry by following these steps: Click the Edit button. In the dialog that appears, update the Username andPassword fields as needed. Click Save.

Delete Saved Passwords

Warning: This permanently deletes every password stored in Chrome. Make sure you’ve backed up any important credentials first. You have two options: remove individual passwords or clear all saved passwords.

Delete One Entry

1. In the passwords list, click the target entry to get in, then click the Delete button to finish.

2. Chrome immediately discards that username/password combination.

Delete All Saved Passwords

In the Google Password Manager page, click the Settings tab, then choose Delete data, and click Delete on the confirm prompt.

Use Wise Disk Cleaner to Remove Them All Regularly
