Fixed: You do not have access rights to Logical Disk Manager on DESKTOP

Solution 1. Run Disk Management as Administrator

This is the most common and simplest solution. Even if your account has administrator privileges, sometimes Windows doesn't elevate the program correctly. So run Disk Management as an Administrator again.

Solution 2. Access from Computer Management

The Disk Management tool is a part of the larger Computer Management console. Launching it from there can sometimes bypass the permission glitch.

• Press the Windows Key + X, and select Computer Management from the Power User menu.

• If prompted, click Yes to allow it to run as an administrator.

• In the left-hand pane, navigate to Storage > Disk Management.

Solution 3. Enable the Super Administrator Account

Windows has a hidden account called Super Administrator which has a higher level of permission than normal administrator accounts, including full control over disk management services, registry keys, and system-level COM objects used by Disk Management.

Solution 4. Use Administrator Account

Confirm that your account is listed as Administrator. If it says Standard User, you will need to change into another admin account or use the password for the main administrator account.

Solution 5. Repair System Files

Corrupted system files can cause all sorts of permission and functionality issues. The System File Checker (SFC) and DISM tools are your best friends here.

Solution 6. Create a New Account

If all else fails, your user profile may be corrupted. Creating a new admin account can serve as a clean slate.

Sign out and log into this new TempAdmin account. Check if Disk Management works. If it does, you can migrate your files to the new profile and delete the old one.
