How to View All Saved Wi-Fi Passwords on Windows 10 & 11

Sep 25, 2021

In our previous article, we covered how to find your Wi-Fi password in Windows 10 and 11. However, as noted, that method only works for your active connection. Today, we’ll show you a more powerful method to retrieve passwords for both your current network and any network you’ve connected to in the past.

Using Windows 11 as an example, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using Command Prompt (Manual)

1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator

Right-click the Start button (or press Win + X) and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows Terminal (Admin).

    2. List All Saved Wi-Fi Profiles

Type the following command and press Enter to see every Wi-Fi network saved on your computer:

    netsh wlan show profile

(Note: Some network names in the screenshot below have been hidden for privacy.)

      3. Retrieve the Specific Password

To find the password for a specific network (e.g., lespeed), type the following command:

netsh wlan show profile name=lespeed key=clear

Look for Security settings. The value next to Key Content is the saved password.

Pro Tip: If the Wi-Fi name contains spaces, you must use double quotes:

netsh wlan show profile name="Wise Cleaner" key=clear

Method 2: The Faster Way (One-Click Solution)

If running commands feels a bit tedious or you have dozens of passwords to recover, there’s a much simpler way.

Wise WiFi Password Viewer is a lightweight, free tool designed to do all the heavy lifting for you. Instead of typing complex codes for every single network, this utility instantly displays a complete list of all saved Wi-Fi names and their corresponding passwords in one clean interface.

        • No commands required: Just run the app and see your passwords instantly.
        • Copy & Export: Easily copy passwords or export your entire list for safekeeping.
        • Fully Compatible: Works perfectly on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

        Conclusion

Whether you prefer using the built-in Windows commands or a dedicated tool like Wise WiFi Password Viewer, you’ll never have to worry about losing access to your networks again. This is a lifesaver for anyone who frequently forgets their Wi-Fi credentials!
