Unlock and Delete A File
Note! Before deleting a file, you should make sure that the file is not needed by the Windows system or any installed applications.
Prefer to delete files using the command line.
1. Add one or more files/folders
You can click the ⌈ Add File ⌋ and ⌈ Add Folder ⌋ buttons to select the files or folders you want to delete. Of course, you can also drag and drop them directly.
2. Remove files/folders from the list
If you want to keep a file or folder, select it and choose ⌈ Remove ⌋.
3. Delete the added file/folder
Click the ⌈ Unlock & Delete ⌋ button in the lower right corner, then confirm the deletion in the pop-up window.
All added files will be permanently deleted and cannot be found in your Recycle Bin. Also, please note that the file status will change to Deleted.
Wise Force Deleter also supports deleting the Windows.old folder. However, we do not recommend doing this unless you need more free disk space.
